ASEAN Rice Bowl Awards covers the economies of the 10 countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
Formed in 1967, ASEAN promotes intergovernmental cooperation and facilitates economic, political, military, educational and cultural integration amongst its members and Asian states.
Member countries have a combined population of approximately 625 million people. In 2015, the organisation’s combined nominal GDP had grown to more than US$2.8 trillion.
As a single entity, ASEAN would rank as the sixth largest economy in the world, behind the USA, China, Japan, France and Germany.
